exercices to reduce/eliminate tension

Postby nimo93 » Fri Mar 08, 2013 5:55 pm

I know that the book says that every mode should be done with a loose jaw, lips and no extra-tension, but is there a way to reduce or eliminate the unnecessary tension? like exercises or any advice?...BTW since the book doesn't focus on dividing the voices the way classical singing does (tenor, soprano...), how do you know when you are too high or too low or how do you know where your limit is....I've seen people that keep on and on expanding their range, but for other voices is more difficult, does this also have to do with tension and constrictions?
